Wilkerson County Park

Wilkerson County Park is a 2.5 acre facility located in Rome, IN. In 1996, the Perry County Parks & Recreation Department acquired a small piece of land along the Ohio River in Rome for the purpose of building a public boat ramp. For 13 years, this facility consisted of only a boat ramp and parking lot.  In 2009, the Wilkerson family donated 2 adjacent lots to the Parks & Recreation Department. Upon receipt of the land, this facility was developed and designated Wilkerson County Park.  This park now includes the following amenities:

  • Shelter House with picnic tables
  • Restroom Facility
  • Playground
  • Boat launch with handicapped access ramp
