Perry County Assessor

The County Assessor is responsible to oversee that all properties in the county are assessed fairly and equitably.

Property taxes in Indiana are collected by the local county treasurer, based on assessments that are provided by the county assessors. These assessments are based on guidelines and regulations set forth by state legislators and adopted by the  Indiana Department of Local Government Finance.

Geographic Information System (GIS) is an online mapping system that provides a variety of information about properties in Perry County. This service is free to the public seeking information about property ownership, history, description, and geographic elements. The system also provides tax information and payment records.

The estimates provided by these tools are projections only and should not be taken as a statement of true tax liability.

Calculate an Estimated Referendum Impact

Look up your assessed value, and find the value labeled “Assessed Value Total Land and Improvements.” This value will be highlighted in yellow.

To Calculate an Estimate of Your Bill:
Select a tax district from the dropdown box at the top of the form. The district numbers match the district number you receive on your bill. Enter an assessed value for the property. Next select any deductions that may apply to the parcel by either clicking on the checkboxes, or entering an amount in the ‘Other Deductions’ text box. Finally, click on the ‘Calculate This Bill’ button to get an estimated bill.
